Service NSW, Woy Woy (New South Wales)
Warren & Mahoney (Architects)
Project Overview
Warren and Mahoney were commissioned to research and develop the best practice design approach amalgamating multiple government agencies under one roof. Friendly and efficient service were of high priority for the Service Centres.
The final result combined both physical service solution with online self-serve optionality. This was strategically done to help teach customers how to complete their transactions online, thus giving them more flexibility and independence.
The lighting solution for the Centre included decorative fittings, including the Luceplan Suspended Compendium and LTS Lunata, in conjunction with architecturally functional products from Red Square and Intralux.
The Woy Woy Centre is the first in a new roll out which delivers a more relaxed and welcoming environment for clients, using decorative suspended lighting over service locations to create easily identifiable locations within the Centre. Lighting levels are also increased at these locations to ensure detailed tasks can be easily performed, while a more relaxed approach is taken throughout the general space to help create a friendly and welcoming environment.
